Sean served his apprenticeship as a sewing machine engineer, then spent years in commercial diving and drysuit manufacture, work where a failed seam isn't an inconvenience, it's dangerous. Lisa has been sewing since school and there isn't much fabric she hasn't worked with, from bridal-weight silk to boat canvas.
The business started in Derby in 1998. When they moved to Cornwall, the workshop came with them, and customers from their Derby days still post work down rather than trust it to anyone closer.
They're keen bikers themselves, which is why the motorcycle community found them first: leathers, Kevlar jeans, seats and accessories, repaired by people who ride. These days 25 Beech Road is where St Austell brings anything worth saving.
