Wetsuit & drysuit repairs

Tears, seams, zips and seals on wetsuits and drysuits are bread and butter here. Neoprene seams re-glued and re-stitched, zips replaced, new wrist and neck seals fitted, and panels let in where a tear is past patching. If it keeps you warm in Cornish water, whether you surf or dive, we can fix it.

Sean made drysuits for commercial divers before opening the workshop, and we handle repairs for dive schools and sailing clubs across Cornwall as well as individual owners.

Repairs that have to hold underwater

Sean is a former commercial diver who moved from working underwater to manufacturing drysuits, so a leaking suit gets treated as the safety problem it is, not a cosmetic one. A seam on a drysuit either holds at depth or it does not, and every repair here is done to that standard.

Most jobs are straightforward: a straight price before we start, and most repairs turned around quickly. If a suit is past saving, we will tell you straight rather than take your money.

Can you repair a torn wetsuit?

Yes. Tears, blown seams and worn panels on wetsuits are everyday work here. Neoprene is re-glued and re-stitched so the repair holds, not just looks tidy.

My drysuit leaks. Is it worth repairing?

Usually, yes. New seals, zip replacement and seam work cost far less than a new suit. Sean made drysuits for commercial divers, so it is repaired to a standard where it has to hold at depth. If it is past saving, we will say so.
